The fall Veggie Club is off and going! We had our first delivery yesterday, Wednesday, Sept. 28th. It was great to meet new friends in the Oklahoma City area. With the weather improved, so are our vegetables. The Bell peppers and Italian peppers are growing sooo much bigger now. Rod harvested new fall Watermelons, Swiss Chard and baby Summer Squash today. I couldn’t resist bringing some of those little beauties in for lunch, and I’m about to go sample one of those melons, too! The winter squashes are really coming in, also – Spaghetti Squash, the green Buttercup and darling 4-5 lb. Pumpkins! I can’t help but think of Autumn with those stacked in bushel baskets all around. Almost ready are Delicata squash and Butternut.
